I PURPOSE AND ORGANISATION 1 General articles Art.1 The 7th « Cinéma Nouvelle Génération » International Film Festival will be held from September 25th to 27th 2008, in Lyon (France). Art.2 The festival is organized by the « Association du Festival Cinéma Nouvelle Génération » to support digital short and feature-length films production and distribution. The festival is a meeting point for public and professionals of cinema. 2 Films Art.3 Registered films at the Festival must have been shot digitally. Shorts and features films are accepted and belong to the following genres: fiction, documentary, animation, digital creation, experimental, clip... Only works completed after 1st January 2007 and never previously entered at the festival can be taken into consideration. The selection comity chooses, after having seen all the registred films, to program the chosen films in one of the different categories of the festival.

II REGISTRATION PROCEDURES 1 Films Selection Art.4 The deadline for the enrolment is the March 28th 2008 Entry form and regulations are on the website http://www.le-court.com/films_platform The only selection accepted support is: DVD The DVD must be sent with the entry form to the following adress: Festival Cinéma Nouvelle Génération 14 rue Basse-Combalot 69007 Lyon France The selection will be announced in the beginning of July, 2008 on the festival’s website: www.cinemanouvellegeneration.com Organizers are the only ones able to define the screenings schedules. Having been viewed, DVD (received for selection) won’t be sent back by the festival’s office. The DVD will be consultable during the whole festival at the view area, and then conserved by the festival for its archives. Art.5 Registration to the Festival and its acceptance by the legal successors of films are definitive and irrevocable from the recording of entry form. Art.6 The festival is allowed to present some chosen films during promotion parties all through the year. Directors will be beforehand informed. 2 Participation rules Art. 7 Chosen films will be exclusively screened during the festival on digital support (Dvcam, mini dv...) in French-speaking or French-subtitled version. The subtitling of a film is at the participator’s expense. Technical specificities for the DV tapes (for chosen films) Each DV tape must be labelled with the following mentions: title, length, format (4/3; 16/9) director or producer’s contact. Art. 8 The Festival must receive the dv tapes in his office before September 16th 2008. After this date, films will be removed from the selection. All the sendings in carriage forward will be refused. Art.9 The Festival remains the only decision-maker regarding the choice of the film’s crew invited members. Art 10 Each chosen feature film must be, as far as possible enclosed, by its advertising material (press kit, poster, photos, and betacam tapes of extracts for televisions ). The Festival will be entitled to authorize reproduction and representation of every extract (under 3 minutes) of chosen films, of any document, any photography extracted from the film or any photography of the directors on any media, on any promotional document of the Festival, or on the Internet festival’s website. Art. 11 Transport costs of sendings (DV tapes and promotional documents) are chargeable to the producers or directors. The Festival will pay all the expenses for the forwarding of the DV tapes (screening supports for the chosen films). The festival will pay the insurance costs of the chosen films, exclusively during the storage period. If the sender chooses to send his material by an international carrier, he necessarily has to pay the whole transport costs as well as any other related charges such as customs duties (remember to notice: no market value, for cultural use only). In case of loss or damage of the screening tapes, the Festival’s responsability might only be possibly engaged for the amount of an empty DV tape. Art. 12 The Festival reserves the right to refuse tapes which, after screening by the projectionists of the festival, would turn out not to be suitable on the technical plan with the usual expectation of a public screening. Art. 13 The participation to the “Cinema Nouvelle Generation International Film Festival” implies the total acceptance of the present regulation by the producer, the director, or his (her) representative.
